    The Method Docuseries is Live!

It's astonishing that the back leg disc golf style just won't die. First it was the Spin and Throw, which faded away. Josh and I were aboard that, too, for a brief moment. Then it was and still is the Slingshot, and now The Method. Again, I really don't care if people want to twist and jerk...

Yes, this exactly. I'm just totally over the youtube game of fake drama and clout chasing.

To each their own, as you say. I, as a fellow content creator and coach, have never understood the sentiment of PISSING PEOPLE OFF to get clout, i.e., acting out or playing a role for attention. I'd rather listen to someone genuine and authentic, as I firmly believe in openness and a...

ThighMaster move from DG Spin Doctor

Once again: the Thighmaster move happens after the plant.

As a professional disc golf commentator, I must defend people saying stupid things. Sometimes, we must keep talking, even when there's not much to say, and things happen fast, so you cannot expect everything said to make sense. Usually we watch the same video as you (without pausing and freeze...

This exactly. I wouldn't even think about extending the knee, because you definitely can lock the knee without bracing correctly. Extending is merely a byproduct of bracing, something I would avoid in the long run to spare my joints. Tensing the leg, resisting the bodyweight collapsing over it...

But then again, nor does mine. Executing the moves you teach has nothing to do with coaching, in my opinion.

Someone pointed out in the comments that it's me he's taking shots at. Probably true. But also, not really. He's just crouching lower than I, so that's it, and doesn't understand the action of throwing the disc. But he does have a cult following, which I don't so he's doing something right.

Yes, and he still doesn't brace but he's getting there. I mean, he talks about him looking like ALL the pros, but I'm not sure his release is quite there yet. Hell, even mine isn't always there, so who am I to say. But bracing is the next step for Sling to save his knee.

I hope my shitty form is never compared to the fundamentals I teach 🤭. I mean, I throw that odd 500' or so (given the right disc and a little tailwind and 360 run-up, I could even hit 600') but I would never tell anyone to copy what I do, but what I say. Right? That's what separates coaches...

We are also comparing dynamic moves done by actually throwing to ones done by showing to the camera while talking. You can't compare them. Trebuchet's teaching, to my knowledge, has nothing to do with twisting the rear knee or pushing down the back foot to throw, which are the fundamentals of...

I haven't seen that from Treb.

It's because some people don't understand the backhand mechanics and have never learned to throw correctly, so they need to come up with a novel solution, whether it works or not. It's okay to help people, and for free, why not? You can go for it, but if I'm asked about it, I won't endorse...

I get it. Still, I'm okay doing what I already do.
