Technical, tight, and sticky on rugged Puna Coast, ocean cliff edges can bring water into play on 8 holes. 2 holes allow you to "bomb" out over pounding surf. Trade winds buffet the undulating course through ironwoods and palms. Active steam-vents, petroglyph sites and lava tubes. NOTE: unmarked - need guide.

Local Directions:
Zoom in on map of the Big Island to green shaded area on shoreline just NE of Opihikao stretching all the way to Poihiki. Hwy 137 (aka "Red Road" and "Kalapana/Kapoho Road"), is narrow and beautiful, with the park entrance clearly marked. Primitive and secluded - no water or facilities, so come prepared.
