Nice mix of fairly open holes with some along the park wood lines. Baskets are located both in open areas and areas tucked back into the woods. Elevation changes on all the holes and the terrain allows for swirling winds that can come from different directions over the duration of a round. While the lay of the land made two 9-hole loops unpractical, the course is laid out in a fashion that allows players to pick any starting hole and finish the round right by their vehicle.
A water fountain is located by the restroom near hole 2 and a water spigot is located next to the shelter at hole 13. Restrooms are located throughout the course.
The Parks Department does an excellent job of maintaining the park grounds, although it is a gamble as to whether or not the wooded holes will have been mowed recently. At times the grass can reach knee-height before being mowed. Bringing insect repellant is recommended if playing wooded holes.
