Designed by Disc Golf Pro & World Champ Eric McCabe. Since being installed a year ago, made upgrades have been completed like a bridge between 4-5 holes. I MEW one come this year between 6-7 holes. Nice large area to practice putting or long distances before playing. Nice long par 4 holes on Hole 1, 10, 13 & 14. Many technical shots, beautiful landscape in summer and winter, very walkable and cart friendly, dog park, & children's park. Love the open long holes of 10 & 11. Keep you honest on throwing it straight. Mando on hole 12 keeps you to the right and away from hole 7 coming at you on the left. Beautiful pond with walking paths and a wonderful amphitheater on site too. Play this course weekly since it's been open. Second baskets are coming soon I'm told along with a second bridge. Many good things about this course. Top of the line on the Wichita Metro Area and on top 10 on the state for sure.

Hole 5 gets wet on large rains but laps makes it cool to throw around the high water. Course is half closed on music concert days in the summer but that is easy to work around and the city shares those days on social media. Need more time on the week to play more often. Not many more cons on this course. Have fun.

Course has short and long tees. Every other month the fees are moved. Fun for all and all levels. Enjoy the park.

Nice new Veteran baskets

Good descriptive signage at the parking lot and at each hole, plus "next tee" arrows mounted in the basket cages.

Two pin placements per hole. The course was set up mostly in the short positions when I played, although some holes have two positions that are about the same length, but offer different shots.

The course makes great use of the available land and water features, including a creek and a pond.

Several holes with choices off the tee rather than just one obvious line that must be hit.

The trees as used well in the hole designs, many to be avoided in fairways and quite a few that add challenge to the greens.

This is a nice (and apparently very new) public park to spend time in, with other amenities to enjoy or have family members enjoy while you disc.

Almost completely flat. Very little, if any, elevation change throughout the course.

Several baskets play very close to sidewalks that were busy with walkers and joggers when I played. The first several holes are in an area that feels dedicated to disc golf, but the more holes you play, the more you encounter other park patrons. I waited to throw several times. However, the only hole I thought was dangerous in this regard was hole 17, as the sidewalk provides the OB line within the 10-meter circle left of the basket and that area is blind from the tee.

A few holes in the middle of the course feel a bit like filler holes between the more interesting ones in the woods at the beginning and around the water at the end.

It would be easy to lose discs here in several places, which might discourage new players. Otherwise, I think this course will get many new players started in the game and set a good foundation for them, as they will need to learn multiple shots and strategies.

I was thinking of this course as a 3.5 as I played it, but as I reflect on it more and think through each hole, as well as the overall layout, setting, and equipment (tees, signage, baskets, multiple pins), I see it as an excellent course for its location and purpose. It is a great example of a well-done public park course. Definitely a recommended stop if you are traveling I-35 through Kansas!
