-The Scenery. It is a beautiful park with mature trees, nice topography, and it is well-kept, with other amenities in the park. Just a nice place to be.
-The Baskets. 9 Double-chained DGA baskets that are in great shape.
-The Signage. The signs are informative and make the course easy to follow.
-The Layout. The course winds its way clockwise around the perimeter of the park and hole 9 brings you back around near the tee for hole 1.
-The Overall Feel. I really enjoyed this park and the course. The course is short (More on that later), but each hole has its own character and the trees and hills are used very effectively. There are uphill, downhill, and across-hill shots. There is a blind shot over a hill and an unusual hole with an extreme hairpin-type right turn over a creek. The park was very well-groomed today. The grass was mowed and everything looked great.

-The Length. The major drawback of this course is its length. It is just too short to be challenging for players intermediate and above. The longest hole has a marked distance of 339 feet and it plays sharply downhill. The next longest hole is probably around 275. I think any advanced player will be kicking himself if he doesn't go at least 7 down for nine holes here. And that is a shame, because the course has so much going for it otherwise. However, I understand that all courses are not intended to be tournament-ready and this would be a great place to learn the game for players just starting out.
-The Info. A few of the signs have inaccurate distances. It may be that the baskets or tees were moved at some point and the distances of these holes changed. I think mainly of hole 1, which is marked at 121 feet. I think it is around 190 (and uphill, so it plays about 220). Hole 9 is marked 236, I believe, and is probably 270 or so.
-The Close Spaces. There are at least two tees that are very, very close to the previous basket and this could become a hazard. Also, there are a couple of holes that play over or near the walking/jogging path and one hole uses the line of that path as its fairway.

This course is great for what it is, a neighborhood park that provides an ideal place to learn and enjoy the game of disc golf. The natural tees are in pristine condition because they haven't gotten much use. Though short, the holes provide variety; no two are alike. It isn't a place to host a championship, but it's a perfect place to spend an afternoon. I developed an immediate affection for this course and this park.
