And it's gone.

when looking for courses in the Austin area to play on my trip this week, I found out this course was literally closing this weekend. So I made it a point to hit this course while I can.

Beerburg is a large tavern/brewery with a beer garden, a few games and a 9 hole disc golf course with Gold and Green tee's marked with large rocks.

It's a simple course and mostly short. Most of the walking paths had wood chips down, the tee's were lined with wood and there are actually tee signs.

The course started on the north side of the beer garden and flowed counter clockwise around the property. While not a long course, there are plenty of tree's to throw threw and the layout forces some left to right and right to left throws.

I can only assume the beer was good, I had a long drive ahead of me and didn't drink one. Normally they were charging $5 to play the course. The money was being used to upgrade the course. However being they were closing in a couple of days, they didn't charge me, just had me sign a waver. As I was leaving, I noticed they had some logo's discs so I purchased one.

Would I play here again? Well I can't. The course will be closed after tomorrow. But it it was still there, yea, I would have loved to hit this course right before dark and have a beer and burger. Oh well, will never happen now.

At least Austin still has Live Oak and now Beerworks.
