Description
The first 4 holes play tight fairways in thick, second growth woods. The next 3 holes play in an open, city park section. Holes 8,9,& 10 are in a section of the park managed as a wildflower meadow. Holes 11 & 12 are under mature trees with low forest understory as expected where light does not reach.
The park is primarily flooded hardwood bottomland forest so abundant mosquitoes should be anticipated. This forest type often has thick growth of poison ivy in the understory and it will be found along the course. Holes 8, 9 & 10 can be tough to find discs - even with a good shot if the fairways and/or rough have not been mowed.
Two species of poisonous snake, yellow jackets, red wasps, ticks, horse flies, and chiggers are among the wildlife species you may encounter.
