Pros:
This is a temp course that we setup the night before the Black Bear Open. This year was the second time that we set it up. Black Bear is far too difficult of a climb and would be fairly dangerous for glow. However, Hole 1,17, 18 are all in the open enough to help us setup a much more easy glow course. Hole 1 is our hole 1 for BB. Hole 2 is a 280ft RHBH hyzer shot that plays along the road on the left side and basket in the open in the clearing of hole 17 of BB. Hole 3 is short tee BB hole 17. Hole 4 is BB hole 18. Hole 5 plays along the creek to the access bridge. Hole 6 is 220ft straight shot with creek to the left. Hole 7 is up the hill teeing from the paved path and ending in the trees ahead approximately 200ft. Hole 8 is a beautiful downhill shot through the trees. Hole 9 plays across the creek/lake beside the footbridge to your right. Hole 10 plays from the grassy area in the parking lot to the practice basket. I typically dont do a run down of each hole, but in this instance it seems right in case somebody is interested where this plays.
Most of these tee shots are from paved areas.
Cons:
- Only available a few times per year.
- Unable to make this permanent due to pedestrians during daytime hours.
Other Thoughts:
Feel free to keep an eye out for this one. We will try to have it every year for BBO, and perhaps a few other times per year. We used the MVP glow lights on the baskets this year... and they were excellent.
