Pros:

Moderately wooded and technical park style 9 hole beginner course with great use of the terrain, providing some easy warm up holes at the start and progressing into more some more fun, interesting, and tricky ace runs with some fast greens as well as a couple relatively longer rec holes(300').

The fairways are quite fair and not much underbrush off the fairway, so not likely to lose discs unless you WTF Richard into the lake on 8. There is OB fence and road on 7 of 9 holes adding to the challenge. Nice new bright Prodigy baskets and hearsay updated to concrete tees and eventually 18 holes. Navigation is fairly easy. Nice staircase leading up to hole 7.

Nice community park with fishing, walking trail, pavilions, and future biking paths.

Cons:

The biggest con is proximity and interference with other park users, and cars. Hole 3 plays right over the basketball court, I had to skip this hole. Hole 4 plays near a parking area. Hole 5 plays along park road. Hole 6 plays down walking trail. Hole 8 tee a bit close to basket 7, and 8's basket close to parking area. Hole 9 plays along park road and parking.

Might be interesting retrieving discs across the fence if that happens, I wasn't particularly worried.

Didn't notice any restrooms, but didn't look very hard.

Other Thoughts:

I seriously have to thank this course for introducing me to Bobby "Blue" Bland music, I'm hooked on that soulful blues, highly recommend listening to His California Album! The course starts out rather bland with the first 3 holes, then has some moments, loved hole 4 playing over the ravine, hole 5 playing downhill, hole 6 mixing it up with a long flat drive, and hole 7 is a dangerous beauty ace run.

As a 9 hole course I would have rated this 3.0, if it was more secluded from other parkers. Will likely upgrade to 3.0 as 18 holes. I walked around the area where the back 9 holes are likely going and found some markers. Appears the back 9 will have some open holes and some more short hilly wooded holes, so there's some more potential and variety.

For traveling course baggers the course is located right off highway with plenty of options for food, gas, and lodging nearby and is a decent quick and fun play. Rough River Dam is about 25 minutes away and provides a stark contrast being wide open and long - and hope it's not flooded. The Goat Path is about 30 minutes away and is a great private course providing a more intermediate challenge, and another new private course in progress.

Pros:

Rewards good shots, but does not punish bad ones too much. Well maintained. The tee pads and baskets are in great condition.

Cons:

The entire course could be played with a putter. It lacks a nice long and open shot that lets you give full power.

Other Thoughts:

Overall good course, there are supposed to be 9 more baskets added in the future. Hopefully they will give this course some more distance.
