Fun but frustrating in the summer 2+ years

Pros:
-Good Discatchers throughout
-Good, informative tee signs
-Two layouts (Red is the harder course)
- Fun mix of holes
-Beautiful Cotswold setting
-If your budget allows there is a lovely restaurant on site plus superb facilities (Spa/hotel etc)

Cons:

-Flow, Blue course ends just about as far from one as you can get. The red course plays back against the blue course to the same baskets on different holes, a couple of them a bit blind leading to issues if the course is crowded.

Other Thoughts:
It's a Matt Cutler designed course which is always a good thing. His courses test a range of shots with lots of risk reward elements thrown in. There are a wide variety of different holes taking in some elevation, open areas and woodland. Playing well you should tear it up but have an offday and it can get quite punishing.
The Blue course is a great little warm up offering a number of ace runs but requiring control. I would actually recommend playing red first and hitting blue when warm as it'll become a birdie fest, starting there cold can be frustrating as you miss easy lines or easy putts.
The Red course gives a good white level challenge (around 900 to par.) bringing in some longer holes and playing back to three of the baskets already used.
Being up at the top of the Cotswold hills the wind can get ferocious. I'm told Matt C parked the Red hole 9th once by throwing high in the complete opposite direction of the basket into a 40 mph wind which picked his disc up flew it over the 10 meter tall and 30 meter wide wood and landed next to the basket, 80 or so meters away in the opposite direction from which he threw. I would have liked to have seen that shot!!
The big issue here is the grass. It's not cut in the summer months and it makes playing even with a group willing to walk out and spot for you nigh on impossible. If you're here in Winter though then it won't be an issue and go play,
It's a fun course with a number of fun holes and well worth checking out between late September and early May I would probably not bother between May and Sept as you will likely end up frustrated and taking hours to play.
The flow can get a bit worrying on the red course as you play back to red baskets of 6, 3, and 1 for holes 10,11,12 playing 6 and 3 you are blind off the tee to players playing the blue course so it can get a bit dubious although the course is not likely to be crowded enough for this to be an issue.
Tees whilst dirt/gravel are pretty well drained and footing should be ok for the most part.
The hotel complex is superb but outside of manys price range. If you can afford it stay and play and relax in the spa afterwards.

A fun and varied course 2+ years drive by

Pros:
Tee markers: Every hole has a map at the tee so you know exactly what challenge awaits you.
Benches: Some Tee's have benches for you to wait on (not all but most).
Clubhouse: When you sign in at the spa, you are invited in to use the lounge if you wish. Very plush!
Baskets: All new disc catchers, which are in great condition

Cons:
Red Course: There is a longer 12 hole red course also on the site, however there is no map on arrival, and it is virtually impossible to follow the layout without a guide. This is why only the Blue course has been listed on the site.
Tees: Some are grass, some are mud

Hole Descriptions:
Hole 1: Short, straight drive into a ring of trees. Could be harder in the summer when the leaves grow on the tree's
Hole 2: Slight dogleg left around the big beech tree, beware of the fenced area if you go far left as it is OB.
Hole 3: Short, downhill shot. Definatly a birdie opportunity.
Hole 4: This hole plays through the mini orchard which the spa have planted. The basket appears to be in an apple grove so maybe be able to pick an apply for your round?
Hole 5: A tough uphill, dogleg right. 2 route options are available either straight through the gap and then right, or for the adventurous go straight over the trees
Hole 6: Another tough hole. OB right in front of the tee. You must clear the gate/fence to be inbounds. If not advance to the Red spot marked on the tee marker
Hole 7: A short hole, which is deceptively difficult. Firstly you need to clear the fence with your tee shot (you are not OB if you don't), but then also you cant see the basket from the Tee, just a hole in the trees to aim for.
Hole 8: A straight wooded hole. Pin point accuracy needed to reach the basket with your drive
Hole 9: Another wooded hole, however this one kinks in the middle. Perfect for a forehand drive, but beware of the fitness equipment on the edges of the hole, they can impede your stance!
