Pros:
This course is very easy to find. The drive down from Phoenix was super quick.
The course is very easy to navigate. I printed up a map and had no problem at all finding my way around.
The use of space is incredible. I like all the large trees in the park..not what I expected for Casa Grande.
There is a lot of room for creating alternate tee shots. My friends and I played through 4 complete rounds and we had a plethora of alternate shots.
It's very clean, very few people. Just a nice walk in the park.
Cons:
Only 9 baskets and it is short, short, short. Hole-s 3-5 are all 174' or 175'.
The challenge factor just is not very high.
No tee pads, just markers.
There are no amenities in the park. No water fountains, no bathrooms, and only 1 trash-can that I saw in the whole park. There is also not a parking lot--just park on the street or in the dirt area across the street.
Other Thoughts:
Depsite the length of this course (and the lack of amenities), I enjoyed it a lot and I WILL be back.
If you go,design your own alternates. However the ones that work best are, using the map from this website, just play backwards: 9 to 8, 8 to 7, etc., until you throw 1 to 9 and your done. There are also several shorties going this way, but the amount of trees gives you alot of choices for more difficult shots with teeny tiny little windows. One of my favorites was shooting to the 3 basket from just off the north edge of the park from underneath a palo verde tree, Lots of fun!!
I think that because they only have tee markers it would be easy to put in another set of 9 (or even 18) new markers to make this course even more fun. Well done Casa Grande!!
