Pros:
-Downhill throws galore, which is great for weak arms. Who doesn't love airing out those discs for some big hang time!
-Good variety of shots needed, along with the added bonus of learning how to adjust for the downhill shots.
-Even though a fair number of holes have few obstacles, there is still a high degree of risk due to the slopes and the likelihood of overshooting the baskets.
-Putting here is rarely basic with the sloping and/or tree laden greens.
-You get plenty of hiking in, with wonderful views.
-Cost is VERY reasonable.
-You might have the mtn. to yourself.
Cons:
-The usual stuff that comes with a mtn. course - bring plenty of water, lost discs are a high probability (use a spotter), you could slip and fall (wear boots), and the fairways are not manicured (but who cares?)
-Bigger time commitment than many courses, due to the drive time and ride up the mtn. (esp. if the lift is not running).
-Could be a bit rough on beginners, but could be worse for sure, as there are still a good number of short holes. And unlike pros/strong arms, beginners are less likely to overshoot the precarious greens.
Other Thoughts:
If you love disc golf, live anywhere within a 200 mile radius or more (hehe) or are traveling through the area, and love playing a variety of courses, this is a MUST.
