Not great, not bad 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 11, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has baskets
Tee's are sort of marked
Has camping literally on the course.
Only $2 per person to get into the park.

Cons:

Baskets appear to have been used somewhere before, they are old.
Tee's are marked, but are hard to see some of them.
Flow is not all that great, specially when you get to holes 6 to 7.

Other Thoughts:

West Texas course, yes there are a few trees on the first few holes but the back holes are pretty much wide open.

Hole one tees's off near the entrance and is the tightest, actually only tight hole on the course.
Hole 2 is a great disc golf hole and is actually the longest hole on the course. For most players it is a 2 shot hole with tree's on both sides defining the fairway.

Now your thinking this couse is going to be pretty good, however your wrong, you just played the best two holes on the course and it goes downhill from there.

Hole 3 is a short open hole with the rough on the right. Then you cross over to the lake side of the park and have a few wide open shots.

I could not find a tee box at all for hole #6, I finally just threw the hole off the stage, I think that is where your suppose to throw, it's not marked anywhere.

Then you have a super long walk over to hole 7, across a parking lot, then down a dirt road and though a gate. Seriously I never would have found this tee if I didn't use a map.

Hole 7 and 8 follow a dirt road and are in an area that is not mowed. Although it appears that the greens' are mowed at least occasionally. If you throw off the fairway, your in some deep west Texas crap.

Hole 9 throw across the edge of the lake and up the hill near the maintenance shed and park rangers house. This is actually a decent hole, however you are almost throwing over hole 7's tee box. (yea, I landed right in front of it)

Not a bad course for my $2, but it's not a good course either.

Would I play here again? Nope, it is SO far away from everything. I would consider camping here and playing a fun round. But as far as driving out of the way to play the course? Only to bag it.
