Fun Creative Park Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 3, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice park with mature trees and good use of elevation and topography, including drop-offs near the creek
Good variety of shot shapes and distances
Well-marked natural tees that seemed to be in good shape
Quality DGA baskets, including a practice basket near hole one's tee
Navigation is intuitive except for one long walk that is marked with signage
A couple of creative holes that require two shot planning
Creative Texas-shaped landscaping feature on hole 16 is a nice touch
Other amenities throughout the park

Cons:

Two of the most interesting holes, 14 and 15, also require throws over the park road. I waited for cars to pass on both holes.
Creek crossing between holes 9 and 10 and during the play of hole 16 would be difficult in wet weather or with lots of recent rain.
Several of the holes on the back nine are just straight drives to a basket near a tree or two.

Other Thoughts:

This is city park golf done well. The course uses the park well and provides a good variety of challenges. I would definitely suggest a stop here if you are driving through town.

Nice older park course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 16, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Signs on every hole. Each hole has a native name matching the city. Nice mature park with huge trees for shade and wind block. They make you cross a nice creek and make good use of it. Also make you cross some old bridges that are awesome. The back 9 uses the few trees really well. Fair but great use of the trees. Variety of shots. Long short left right. Some elevation changes on the back 9 as well

Cons:

No pads(not an issue for most) The walk from 9 to 10 is a quarter of a mile just follow the sign. if it rains some holes over the creek maybe hard to navigate.

Other Thoughts:

The front 9 is along a creek pretty normal. but I found the back 9 to be very enjoyable.
