Description
Coronet Peak over the summer offers NZ’s highest-altitude disc golf course with nine holes, mountain bike trails with lift access, a café and bar at café 1200 as well as a gondola to the top for sightseeing. Directions: You can take the Peak Gondola to the top of Coronet Peak and play your way down the mountain across the nine-hole course. Alternatively, you can walk the whole course from the Base Building for free. From the top of the Gondola head down the sign-posted hiking trail (M1 run in winter) for about 15 minutes walk. You will go past the ice bar on your right and cross the Downhill track for the second time just before the 1st tee. Tee Pads: Our tee pads are black mats with 2 waist-high fence standards at the front. Most fence standards should be visible from the previous holes basket but if you cannot see one look for small wooden directional signs in the ground nearby to point you to the next hole. Please note: Pease respect both the environment and other users of the mountain. Expect to encounter vehicles, hikers, bikers and staff during your visit. NEVER throw if there is any chance that you might hit someone or infrastructure. Please pick up and pack out all rubbish. Discs are available to hire for $5 in the base building.
