Cowlitz Falls DGC Has Length, Nice Baskets And Decent Signs, Once You Find Them! 2+ years

Pros:
The Cowlitz Falls DGC sits in the 110 acre Bud Lewis Park/Cowlitz Falls Campground. The park offers hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, boating, playground, mountain climbing, disc golf, kite flying, and bird watching
There is no fee for day use or disc golf. The 9 hole disc golf course starts to your left just after you drive by the guard house. There is a course sign there with the disc golf holes added on top of the camp sites. The holes are marked by rounds of logs in-bedded in the grass, (Remember you are right in middle of Washington States logging industry. Log trucks and chain saws are a way of life here.) The baskets are DGA models with the always hard to read red numbers on top.
Holes 1-5 play around the large grassy area where the ball field is. After playing # 5, follow the trail through the woods to reach another little area that has a playground and dump site. Holes 6 & 7 are here. After # 7 follow the trail through the woods back to the main area again. # 8 basket is in the corner and then the # 9 basket is across this field up near the guard house and entrance.
The tee signs show the distance in yards. Those college graduates among us might know to multiply by three to figure out the distance in feet. The seven holes in the fields are mostly longish and boringish. (Beware of Made up word!) other than the OB on the side of the fairway, there are almost no obstacles. There is the ball field fence on # 2 and a volleyball net on # 8.
The Udisc app was invaluable for locating the tree rounds tee signs.

The # 8 basket has the # 9 number on top. The # 9 basket is not a DGA basket and has no number. I most brilliantly deduced that the # 8 basket was stolen and for some reason, someone moved the # 9 basket to # 8 and used a replacement basket for # 9.
The replacement basket on # 9 is set about 6 " too low.
The course is flat and open. Having 300' and 400' open holes is tedious, at best.
Natural tee pads would be hazardous in the rainy weather around here.

Other Thoughts:
The closest course from here might be 60-70 miles so this is their Taj Mahal of courses. If I lived here, I would wear my grigging clothes all the times and embrace this course as my very own. It's not half bad!
NOTE: The campground/park is closed for the season but as we drove up, a gentleman in a Lewis County PUD truck said we were welcome to walk in and play the course.
So for the person who gave me a thumbs down for most cleverly sneaking into a private swim club pool in California, I had clear and legal access to this course.
