Beautiful 9 hole ball golf course drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 18, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great open holes and distance, up to over 450', with some downhill shots over the treeline, up and over the hill shots, and smooth straight shots.
Views into the mountains, lakes and lands beyond.
Manicured and cared for with active grounds crews, flower beds, tree lines and some natural OB to avoid.

Cons:

Short, stone slab tee pads, so not a lot of run up and and limited launch angles from the tee pads.
Can have some conflict with ball and foot golfers speed of play if crowded.
Fees were a little high for a 9 hole course.

Other Thoughts:

Can have wind off the hills and mountains blowing through - I played the nine holes twice and it was different because of the wind.
Beautiful area - out off the major areas but still accessible by car.
Only one couple on a golf hole through 18 holes and they offered to let me play through, and I out drove their golf balls!
Appreciate disc golf in Scotland!

Fun in the Cairngorms, Scotland 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 14, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Nicely mowed and manicured disc golf
-Elevation on some holes!
-Friendly clubhouse
-You're in the Cairngorms! Very pretty, nice views
-Some good tests of LtoR and RtoL

Cons:

-Built on a golf course, but not really a problem unless maybe many are playing golf or foot golf.
-You kind of have to be in the Cairngorms area. Not far from Inverness, though.
-Weather can change quickly

Other Thoughts:

We were on a road trip, and since the weather cooperated, we decided to stop at Craggan and play disc golf. What fun! The course is beautiful, especially the views. It is probably crowded in the summer, but in September we had no problem playing the course. The course is challenging, with some baskets and/or tees on hills, so elevation comes into play too. Had a great time playing here.
