I Went Down To The Crossroad... 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 1, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

For a church course, this one is pretty good. Decent paver tees and decent informative tee signs and a nice course sign/map. Navigation is fairly easy with the only real minor issue transitioning from the front to the back of the church. The course features mostly short to medium-length holes with plenty of trees to navigate around. There are realistic water hazards and the course will provide a good challenge for int/rec level players.

Cons:

9 or ten baskets means that holes share targets. I don't think that this course sees a whole lot of play so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

The biggest problem here is that almost everywhere on the course is overrun with ants. Try to keep moving and look down if you stop!

Other Thoughts:

Me and the boys had a fun round here despite the ever-present ant problem. Not a course I would go out the way to play unless I was an extreme bagger as there are better courses in the area.

The Holy Land!!!! Well kind of. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 29, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course as my review title states is technically the holy land. Not because its amazing but because its located on church property. Its quite scenic and got some cool holes considering it's limitations. Its got some long shots but most are 200-300ft. It makes a great warm up for Doris Leeper and worth a play if you are in the area. Hole 1 as I know it plays from the flags throwing towards the road.

Cons:

There are many but I'll go easy because you should take this course for what it is. There aren't any tee pads and just marked areas with flags. There is no way to know how to follow the course unless you've played before and I'm not sure I'm even playing it correctly.

Other Thoughts:

I'm giving it a 2.5 not because there isn't some fun shots but because its the bare minimum of whats needed to be a disc golf course and still manages to be fun. The couple holes that throw over the lake in the back are cool and the raised platform tee box makes for a scenic flight. I wouldn't go out of my way to play it or drive any distance though. If possible, go with someone that's played there before and use it as a warm up or a gorilla golf site. As a reminder, I wouldn't go on Sunday or any other day there might be a service. It was very nice of the church to allow this on their property so be respectful.
