- SIGNAGE AND NAVIGATION - The new Dawnville course is not blessed with many strong attributes, but one thing that was done well was the tee signage. The signs have all the needed info on them including next tee direction. The signs are also well built and look indestructible. No course map is present, but the flow is easy to follow and next tees are always near the prior basket. I had zero issues getting around and never looked at my navigational app for directions.
- ACEABILITY - The only other intriguing aspect to me was the ace factor. The ace rate here is probably 4 to 5 times higher than the average course.
- BEGINNER FRIENDLY - This one is going to be a great course to take new players to. Sure there is some overgrowth on the fringes, but there is no water and noobs wont be hitting trees often.
- QUICK PLAY - It took me 20 minutes as a quick solo and I took pictures. Pretty sure I could have conquered it in 15 minutes.
- MAINTENANCE - The grounds were in great shape. No trash, no limbs down and fully mowed on my appearance here.

Having to drink one 5-hour energy after every hole to keep narcolepsy from setting in.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - Wow is this course bland. I fell asleep three times trying to recall the holes I played here. There are four wide open sub 225-foot plays on this one. I thru a mid or a putter on seven of the nine holes. The course will work great for newer players and all, but it so simple that it likely won't hook any of them. The appropriate audience for this course is beginners thru MA4, unless a player is looking to hunt for aces.
- HOLE VARIETY - Eight of the nine are either open or lightly wooded. Hole (4) is the only moderately wooded hole. The course is almost pancake flat. Hole (9) has the tee on a 5 foot high ridge and that's the most notable elevation change. No water elements except for standing water on (9). 85 percent of the courses I've played have a better diversity of gameplay elements.
- MULTI USE HAZARDS - A walking path is in play on the first seven holes. No blind conflicts with the path, but play will need to stop when walkers approach from either direction. I think a couple tees are also a hair to close to the prior basket.
- AMENITIES AND EXTRAS - The baskets are subpar T3s. They are in good shape, but they don't catch much better than a Mach2. The tees are a mix using either asphalt or natural ground. No tee line markings are on the ground or asphalt. Signage is good, as I had already noted in the pros. No other course related amenities. There is likely a restroom building by the baseball diamonds, but I didn't verify.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - This is a flat non-descript park. No eyesores or anything like that, just soso overall compared to the average park. I went with 20 percentile.

Dawnville is among the most meh courses I've ever played. There are no gleaming flaws with the course, but it's so dull, that if it were a knife, it wouldn't be able to cut through pre-sliced bread. No reason to venture more than 15 minutes out of your way to play this one unless you are a hardcore course bagger like me. Among nearby courses, it reminds me most of Coker Elementary. Other similar courses I've played include, Spassland in Wisconsin, Clint Small Middle School in Austin Texas, Middle River in Fayetteville NC, Radford in Pensacola and Ferguson near Seattle.

For a smallish park they did a decent job putting together a fun pitch and putt course. It's sort of a par two course, but holes 3,8 and 9 are longer than the 200ft hyzers that the others mainly use.

Hole 7 is a short hole but with a tight window to hit and a fence in the way.

Baskets are new white Prodigy T3s and easy to spot.

Signs are really good for a basic little course like this.

It's a basic course with probably 5 holes where you throw a 180-230ft backhand hyzer with a putter or approach disc. Only one over 300 and it's downhill.

A couple of ditches in fairways that hold a lot of water even when we hadn't had rain for some time, I bet it's downright soggy on 7-9 when there has been any rain.

No pads, though you can throw from the parking lot/walking path. I imagine if the park is ever busy you basically can't play.

I basically used it as a warm up for a day of course bagging and it would be a good place to teach disc golf to kids or new players.

You could could do ace runs here, but it's unlikely the T3 baskets would catch them .
