Pros:

This course is polished from top to bottom. The paving stone tee pads are as good as any and appropriately sized for the hole distance. The baskets and signs are perfect. Navigation is a breeze.

I quite like the course design and build here. It's simply a fun forested course, and they've cleared out a lot of trees to give the course the right amount of density to make it challenging, but not frustrating. Every hole can be 2'd, but it would be quite the accomplishment to get through here in the low 40s.

What I also really liked about the course is that even though you're playing through a forest, and there is a fair amount of undergrowth, it had been cleaned up enough that finding a disc was rarely an issue.

Cons:

Mosquitoes were the big problem at the time I was there, which was early August. They were a lot denser than you'd expect in late summer.. bring repellent. Hopefully a one off after a rainy summer.

I'm fairly confident the distances on many of the signs were wrong. Hole one was listed at 288 so I grabbed a gator and threw it fairly hard, overshooting the basket by a good 50 ft. That gator only goes 300 tops for me. I had a long putt on the "par 4" 11th hole after throwing a fairway driver off the tee, which I think was listed as ~450 ft, but I'm thinking is more around 375. You get the idea... I've noticed this is a fairly common issue on disc golf courses. Not a big deal other than the first time you're playing it.

Only 3 holes over 300 feet, and only a few of the holes have particularly tight gaps to hit, so overall this is not an especially challenging course. That makes perfect sense though; you wouldn't want the first course in the area to be overly frustrating, and this course is perfect for the recreational player. My 7 year old loved playing here, and so did I. It's just a shame they didn't have a wee bit mores space for more than just 2 full power driver shots (11 and 16 I think).

Other Thoughts:

This course is legitimate and a must play for anyone passing through Golden, of every skill level. Everyone who travels between Alberta and BC on highway 1 will be grateful for this course, if you're headed between Calgary and Kelowna or Kamploops, it's perfectly situated for a disc golf break after a few hours driving.
