Pros:
+ The course equipment here is top notch. There are concrete tees, great baskets, and a tee sign that shows the distance.
+ As the course resides on the grounds of the Dodgeville schools, the area is very clean. There was no trash when I played and the grass was mowed and plush.
+ Plenty of elevation makes this course slightly more exciting than your average park.
+ Mostly ace runs! To me, this is definitely a 'deuce or die' kind of course, which is great for beginners and those playing their first round. The longer holes are all downhill whereas the shorter ones are uphill.
Cons:
- The only obstacle you'll be dealing with here is elevation, which makes it a pretty boring course. You can stand in the middle and see all the baskets.
- Single tee pads and basket locations. Having an alternative set of tees about 100 feet or so behind each of the current tees would add a lot of spice for players looking for a more challenging round (or those wanting to get out their drivers).
Other Thoughts:
Like the prior two reviews, mine is fairly short. I can't really think of much else to add. It's an open, hilly, and quick round on a very clean course. It's a fun little course, but not one that will require a large variety of shots. Definitely not deserving of the 3.5 rating this course had prior to this review being published.
