Pros:
Nice baskets.
Nice tee pads.
Nice signs.
No courses nearby.
Good putting practice. Especially putting practice with weird footing (slopes, branches, etc...).
Fun ace runs. Really, all the holes are ace runs.
Quick - I played 4 rounds in an hour, and really took my time.
Cons:
Not very challenging - I (RHBH) only had to shape throw once - the rest of the holes were easy hyzers
Ground is rough - large slash piles waiting burning, and lots of woody debris on the floor. This may get cleaned out soon.
The course is very cramped - baskets are often 10 ft from the next tee box, or another basket. The course could have been spread out with the same hole designs and been safer and more enjoyable.
Slow play if anyone else is on the course, since every throw is shooting at a couple baskets and tee boxes.
Other Thoughts:
This is a fine course if you happen to be at Evergreen or Camp Mather or traveling to Hetch Hetchy, and need to get some putts in. Not really worth traveling to, unless you are an obsessive course bagger. I am an obsessive course bagger, and I had fun going for aces and the perfect 9 hole round (-9; got it).
While not likely worth the drive for experienced players, it is well suited for the target audience, which are kids and families staying at the camps. The easy holes and some downhill throws will be fun if you have never played before.
