Nice 5 Basket School Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 17, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice setting with some large trees to throw through

Playing the course in either or both directions is an option

Portals are decent baskets and the five different colors are a neat touch

Excellent course for an intro to the sport for the school kids

Great place to throw some safari golf with plenty of trees, space, and baskets to make some challenging holes

Cons:

Only 5 baskets

Mostly flat

No tees marked

No map of intended course

Fairly short (If you throw from the area of one basket to the next)

Fence line in play for errant shots, 6' chain link

Only available after school hours

Other Thoughts:

Course flows in an "L" pattern in the SE corner of the school grounds.

I played 5 days after a huge windstorm and there were 7 or 8 of the trees down. All the gates were locked, but I found one to squeeze through. I'm guessing the gates are not normally locked, but were on this day due to the fallen trees.

I plan on returning sometime to play some safari golf.

Little Five Hole Course Is Set In A Pretty Wooded Area! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 22, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Because the course at Fernan Elementary doesn't have signage and is not listed on Udisc, I don't know a lot about it. So i'm going to make some assumptions which we all know can dangerous that can be. These are the facts and they are indisputable. And I'm Kevin Bacon. There are five Black Hole Portal baskets set in the woods. They are five different colors starting with blue, then yellow, black, orange and white. They might be 1-2-3-4-5. They are maybe 150-200' feet apart.

The course could start on the basketball court which would make the blue basket # 1. Then you would play all the way to white basket which would then be # 5. You could then turn around the play the course back to the BB courts numbering them 6-7-8-9-10. There are some trees to throw around. The neighbor's fences are ever present on your left.

Cons:

It's either a small five hole course or maybe it's ten holes.

There is no signage or tee pads or maps in the known universe. Perhaps the course designer could enlighten us?

It's flat but wooded and pretty.

Not available when school is in session.

Because you're on school grounds, please no drugs or alcohol. Don't do crack!

Other Thoughts:

Nice baskets in a plethora of colors. I guess that's elementary school cool. The course is worth coming to for some practice throws. Playing back again gives you 10. This is not a bad place to bring a kid or a beginner. I doubt if most players would drive any distance to get here but if you lived somewhere near, it might be in play.
