Standard par 3

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Mostly family friendly par 3.
Prodigy baskets.
Very clear rubber tee pads surrounded by railroad ties.
Some pads elevated, one basket was a hanging elevated basket.

Cons:

Course is in the lower park, make sure you go to the correct lot. Course needs more navigation arrows to help with flow.
Day camps were all over the fairways making some holes nearly impossible to play.
Many of the short ace runs did not feature any risk if you went for it. There was often a backstop behind the basket saving you from over throwing the basket.
Some of the walks between holes were long and very muddy. Some were not cart or stroller friendly. The walk to 12 was a long insect filled narrow path. The walk to 13 was not cart friendly at all and was very slick and muddy.
I lost 2 discs on a mostly simple water carry. The first one I his leaves in the canopy on my release and the disc fell short i to the water. The second one I tried a lower more controlled shot. It bounced off a tree and rolled all the way into to water.
Biggest flaw is flow and navigation. Simple arrows on the baskets would help immensely.

Other Thoughts:

An extremely sharp root on the path to hole 14 punctured my shoe.
15 features the novelty hanging basket.
At the course the only bathrooms were portopotties with a large line.

Jewel in the niagara region 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 10, 2020 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Variety of elevation changes
Exciting water clears
A few ace runs
Tests a variety of shots and angles
The park is beautiful

Cons:

A little on the shorter side

Other Thoughts:

Course has been updated with simple signs, next tee signs and pads. The course offers a ton of birdies as well as a few ace runs. A few water clears add excitement, and elevation changes from hole to hole offer a good amount of variety from shot to shot.

In almost all cases, distance isn't a huge issue, and aside from the water on hole 9 and 17, the course is very beginner friendly. More advanced players could seek to shoot very low scores, but there are still challenges to be had.

Between this course and the one in St. Catharines, the Niagara region is a great spot to check out for some quality disc golf.
