Pros:
Very green, lots of trees to aim at for your self-created object course. A five-minute walk from the five baskets at Arakelian Park. Park halfway down Mont Cliff Way and walk five minutes to either course. One runner was using the walking path; no other park inhabitants on this not-too-hot June day. This appears to be nothing more than a pitch and putt object course right now. Nice enough, but doesn't warrant much of a rating.
Cons:
No baskets were to be found. Only two tee pads. We played two quick rounds because we were there, and why not. If I found myself back in Livingston and Gallo Park was still without baskets, I would just play a few rounds at Arakelian. It is well set up for multiple approaches to the five baskets.
Other Thoughts:
No evidence of when baskets were taken down. Searched online for info as well but couldn't find anything.

Maybe Arakelian Deserves The Extra 1/2 Point For Having One More Basket? 2+ years

Pros:
This is the second half of Arakelian-Gallo Park DGC twosome. Gallo Park, less than1/2 mile away ended up with only four baskets.
Gallo is a smaller city park with a 1/3 mile walking path circling the park which is mostly a large storm basin. The four baskets play clockwise around the bowl. They have the same small tee pads and the same great little colored tee signs here as Arakelian.
The first hole is a 225' downhill shot to a basket sitting down in the bowl. This basket # says # 4. Next is a 253' down and up shot over a natural indentation to the basket with the # 1. The third hole is a short (161') hyzer to a basket tucked in behind some small trees. This hole will become tougher as these trees mature. And the final hole is a 200' straight shot to a basket perched partway up the bowl's hillside. And that tee sign is blank.

Cons:
The grassy area inside the bowl is pretty much useless, not really good for any activity.

In retrospect, perhaps I should have awarded Arakelian DGC an extra 1/2 star sorely on the basis of having five baskets to Gallo's four?
Between the two, I preferred playing at Arakelian Park more. I don't know whether anyone would drive or walk between the two parks to complete a nine hole round. I doubt that I would. Both parks are sure blessed to have this lovely, plush green grass. Kinda makes you want to get naked and roll around on it!
