Pros:
I wouldn't advise you to invest in any Gehringer Park Swim Club stock because frankly, it doesn't look like the swim business is booming. Everything about this place looked a little run down. I assume this might be the off-season because everything looked put away. I drove here knowing this was going to be a tough bag, being a private swim club and all. As I drove up, I found the pool completely fenced in all around and the lights out. But there is a nursery next door and it's gate was left unlocked and then the back gate to the swim club was also left unlocked. Thanks swim club gate keeper!
DGCR review lists this as a private four hole course but there are now 5 Discatchers and a practice basket. The 5th Discatcher is over on the pool deck. This makes for a tiny rec course with extra rubber tee pads so there are obviously extra holes now. Some pads are marked by two little flags.
The first hole is about 60'. Later holes were all about 100' or so. A couple were in or behind trees. I'm not sure about the basket on the pool deck. Maybe you get to use the pool as a water hazard! Incoming discs could be a hazard to swimmers too.
Cons:
Only four or five holes and very short distances.
It would be somewhere between difficult to impossible to play when the pool is open.
You and your discs may not be welcome here.
# 1 plays to a basket in the swing set. Yet another hazard!
You might need to be a second story man (burglar) in order to gain entry. Bring your burglary tools and little black mask.
Other Thoughts:
Gehringer Swim Club probably merits a 1.0 but I'll give it an extra 0.5 bonus for leaving the gates unlocked for me so I'm being extremely generous in awarding it a 1.5 rating.
It's kind of like Motel 6, they left the lights on but they don't offer a lot of amenities, no breakfast and their rooms need to be updated
