Pros:
+9 nice baskets
+Decent signage on 8 of 9 holes. Also a map on the bathroom building.
+Nice park with lots of amenities including camping, playground, shelter, bathrooms.
+Won't lose a disc here.
Cons:
-It starts off rough with hole 1 right over the parking lot and 10 feet in front of a shelter. This hole will be unplayable with more than a car or two in the lot or anyone in the shelter. 2 is not much better being crammed between the baseball field and the road. It's also 150+ feet longer than anything else on the course. The layout doesn't get too much better after that. On 4 I had to play cautiously as there was a camper near the pin. 5 plays on a very narrow strip of grass between the campground road and the walking path. On 6 I teed off between a camper and their old collectors car. 7 crosses 3's fairway. 8 plays around the baseball field at an odd angle. 9 plays across 1's fairway and across the parking lot.
-All the aforementioned safety/flow issues are going to dominate any review of this course.
-1's sign was missing.
-Scorecards were rotting from getting wet.
-Course would be unplayable if any of the other activities were busy at all.
Other Thoughts:
+I have some pity on small towns that don't have large parks. Or very many parks so that they need to cram every activity into one or a few parks. George is a nice town of around 1k people. This park is a nice park with lots to do. There probably shouldn't be a disc golf course here. I don't think that they could even do a redesign that would eliminate all the issues. If there wasn't also a cam[ground, it would be do-able but still crammed.
