Beautiful country Disc Golf course and park

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lots of room for expansion of longer tees and possibly more holes. I didn't check out all the woods, but the mowing crew was mowing in the woods behind basket # 6, So i'm thinking there's more room for additional holes.

Tee signs with description arrows and instructions of where the next tee/ parking lot are.

The whole course was fun to play, but several holes stood out.

I liked Hole # 5. 360' Downhill. Teeing area was located at the crest of BIG hill, you know one of the holes where one wants to empty their bag on. Only issue I had with this hole was the green area of the hole. The grass 20-25 feet to the right of the basket was waist high. Perhaps the park dept. in the future could mow a larger landing/putting circle around the basket instead of its current state.

# 8, 175'. Was another downhill shot, but unlike hole # 5. This hole was in the woods and the first of 2 holes in the woods. So, the player had to split a few trees and land their drive on a smallish landing area, with a drop off in back of the basket that a small creek was located. There are ample places to error on your drive to make a relatively easy hole hard for a par. FUN hole!! Having never played this course until now. I was pleasantly surprised with this hole.

The area where hole holes 8 & 9 were located looked like an older Boy Scout hiking trail area. There was a narrow bridge going over a small ravine to the other side of # 9's fairway which was very helpful

Cons:

No kiosk (yet)

Grass/dirt tees

plenty of room from longer tee placements, but currently it's just one set of tees.

Hole # 4 could be a tough hole if there's a baseball game going on as the fairway goes clockwise around the outfield. But as I see it, there's more time to play Disc Golf at this park as there would be a baseball game, so it shouldn't be an inconvenience. There is an opening in center field to retrieve a disc if one's throw would land in the ballfield. But if there's a game going on and there's fans in the outfield, just skip the hole and go onto the next hole.

Other Thoughts:

Community Park is currently going through a redevelopment process for the better! New Parking lot, new shelter and I'm sure new restrooms will be constructed soon.

Beautiful area to play Disc Golf, read a book or just chill out and listen to the birds sing.

Small course but awesome 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 20, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice up and down features. Hole 2 has a pesky tree tha'st hard to beat.

Cons:

Holes 8 and 9 need some improvement. I actually skip these holes bc of swampy area (8) and trees are too close (8 and 9). Due to being par 3 holes and being very short, shots are limited.
