Waste of decent baskets 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 18, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

This courses actually has decent baskets. I have nothing else positive to say about this course.

Cons:

No directional indicators, so no way to know what basket to throw to. Nothing to throw around or through. This is simply an open flat field. There is a hole that requires to throw around a bush but you can not see the basket from the previous basket, so the one feature ends up detracting from the pliability of the hole, again no signs. No benches. No restrooms. No trash cans. No signs. Did I say no tee pads, well nothing to even indicate a location to tee from. No place to park. No sign at the beginning of the course to know where to begin. If you do park at the rec center the area is fenced off so you can not get to the course. No tee pads. Can be very wet. Grass can get tall. This is just baskets and field.

Other Thoughts:

I really only reviewed this course because I feel strongly that it does not deserve a rating higher than 1. The rec center has no affiliation with this course and is not intended to be the starting point. I hear that there is plan to put the baskets from this course and use them somewhere else that is a real course.

Don't even think about it 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 9, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Close to the highway, easy to find.

Situated among other courses in the area.

Cons:

Four foot high grass that absolutely eats discs. Myself and two other friends found the first tee and threw, we struggled to find two of the throws. Lost my disc forever in grass that could easily hide a pride of Serengeti lions. We powered on to the second hole but couldn't find the tee pad. Gave up at that point!

Other Thoughts:

If the grass is dead or mowed, would be a different story

Decent starter course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2014 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great starter course.
Easy to find.

Cons:

Fairly tall grass.
No real signature holes.

Other Thoughts:

The course was in decent shape, but had nothing to make it stand out. Perfect course for beginners with no real obstacles. We played early one morning and the tall grass soaked my daughters' pant legs and shoes. Just know this is likely so if you don't have extra shoes wait until the dew burns off.

Flat Area in the Mountains 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 24, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

There is a course in the mountain area. The baskets are nice and it would flow nicely from hole to hole. There is a rec center right next to it. There are multiple tee areas to change the distances for you.

Cons:

The course seems to retain a lot of water. There was a bunch of standing water after rainfall. The course is pretty much just 18 baskets in a big field. No elevation change or any trees to speak of in the way.

Other Thoughts:

You can rent discs from the rec center for $5. They also give you a map if you ask for one inside. Otherwise they have nothing to do with the course. If you are in the area it might be worth it, but otherwise not a special trip.
