- great tee signs with nearly all the info you could want
- good quality concrete tee pads
- good quality baskets
- lots of tree to force you to be able to throw lots of different lines
- good variety of distances and multiple par 4s
- navigation of the course is relatively simple and tee pads are easily identifiable.
- OB to force you to make decisions

- there can be some back tracking from basket to the next tee pads on some holes
- the tee signs don't have a way to show which basket placement is the current one, making some holes difficult to find the basket
- the course is completely flat
- some holes feel like there is no real gap and are kind of poke and pray

Great wooded course for Colorado. One of the best courses on the western side of the state.

+ Concrete tees/decent baskets

+ Plays a loop, navigation is relatively intuitive despite the lack of a map/signs

+ Warm-up area w/ 3 baskets

+ Benches near 1,3,7,8 & 12; trash near 3 & 17; restrooms present near parking lot

+ Decent variety in distances and shots needed; most have some trees/obstacles in the way, but there are at least a couple that let you air it out

+ Despite the lack of elevation the course is scenic as hell, playing near/along the Gunnison River. If you play in summer you might forget you're in Colorado in some places

- No maps/signs (there are PVC pipes w/ numbers on them but what signs they had in the past have been blown away

- Some might find a few of the holes to be repetitive i.e., shoot-through-some-trees > lay-up > putt

I was pleasantly surprised with Confluence Park. Once I found the first tee the course played rather intuitively and I didn't have any major issues w/ navigation. For first timers, head up Kellogg all the way to the parking lot near the boat ramp and you'll see to the left of the ramp one of three practice baskets. Head just past those and you'll see the PVC pipe marking Tee 1. After 7, proceed past the basket and you'll find Tee 8 just out of view behind some bushes. 17 is missing the PVC pipe but there is a green stake sticking a few feet out of the ground to mark it. As said above, at least in summer, I found the place to be scenic has hell, with a couple holes making me forget I was in Colorado. #6 in particular reminded me of courses I've played in Florida. I'm not sure how beginner-friendly it should be considered - most of the course isn't a problem but newbies might have difficulty with the number of trees that can be between tee & basket, as well as holes 17 & 18, which play right along the river, which begs to eat an errant RHBH, something I found out first-hand.

All things considered this is a must-play if you're in the Delta area, especially if paired with a warm-up round at Tamarac Park's 9 holer. I'd give it a 3.25 but considering the options in the area (or lack thereof) I'm erring on the side of 3.5. Some upgraded signage would make it a solid 3.5 for me, if not a 3.75. Check it out!

- New, high quality disc catcher baskets with flags on the top stating which hole it is. Very easy to see almost all baskets from the tee pad.
- A lot of interesting holes through some heavily wooded areas. Several lines available.
- Good variation in hole distance. Have a couple of 600' par fours down to a 190' tunnel shot.
- Water in play on 4 holes. Makes you think a little
- Laminated paper signs hanging in some areas or on the ground. Seemed pretty accurate for distance. White PVC sign-holders made it easy to see the next tee-pad
- Good flow. No map playing for the first time and only got turned around a couple times.
- 3 practice baskets at the beginning.
- Neat park setting with restrooms at the parking lot but not throughout course
- I was the only one (32 degrees in December so not sure how popular it is)

A lot of potential and I am excited that this course is here. Not sure if some of the improvements below are planned as this is a pretty new course.
- Gravel tee-pads are kind of uneven in places. Definitely messed with my shot a little
- Tee signs had blown away on a few holes though was still able to see basket from tee.
- Not any elevation change though terrain doesn't really allow for it.
- If the park were to get crowded in Summer with dog walkers, etc., could become a problem though wasn't too bad when I played it.
- 8-12 seemed a bit repetitive. Plenty of opportunities for alternate/more challenging pin placements.

Really enjoyed this course. Better tee pads, permanent signs and some alternate tees/pads would make it a 4. I can usually throw 325-350 and there were only a couple holes that weren't in birdie range, provided I missed the right trees. Great course to practice some of those technical lines. Playing along the river for 17 and 18 gave an added element of excitement.
