Pros:

What was once a 10 hole layout has been expanded to 18 holes. Baskets are in great shape. The original 10 holes each have a short and long concrete pad, and concrete pads are on the 8 new holes as well. Course begins with some open lines and then goes into the woods for defined gaps to hit with punishing but fair rough off the fairway. Nice mix of forehand/backhand holes. Navigation is not too tricky. Other amenities on site. Three practice baskets near the fields across the lot/park road from hole 1. Tee signs are really nice and accurate.

Cons:

First ten holes play around various obstacles that can be busy, but shouldn't directly interfere. Busy park road comes into play on hole 3, as well as a walking path by holes 7-10. There's no one real signature hole on this course. Lastly, it's a decent walk back to the parking lot once you've finished hole 18.

Other Thoughts:

The course is in a nice county park that is clean and well maintained. It's also less than 5 minutes from the interstate and filled a void between the Palm Beach courses and the Port St. Lucie/Ft. Pierce courses to the north. So it's a good place if you want a relaxing course to stretch out your legs and pick up a bunch of birdies. I was between a 2.5 and a 3 here and I'm going to round up because of the tees and the signage on the course.

Solid Rec Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 19, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice fresh neighborhood course with two sets of smallish concrete tees and two pin placements. The course starts out mostly open by the tennis courts, then drifts off into a nature area. There are some cool looks and short to mid distances. The course has some cool chill spots and has a nice vibe to it. The course seems very highly maintained. I really liked hole 8. I can't remember why now, but it's in my notes listed as the signature hole.

Cons:

Navigation is a little tricky in spots. Aids for the transitions between 2-3, 3-4. 5-6 and 7-8 would be nice for visiting tourists looking for a round and traveling baggers like myself. The course is multiuse so roads, tennis courts and other park users can come into play.

Other Thoughts:

I agree with The Valkyrie Kid that this course would probably be just fine with one tee and one basket position. Not a gold level course of course but lower skill levels will really like it here and it's cool enough that higher skill levels might have fun here too.

Halpatiokee DGC Wasted A Few Of The Park Departments Dollars! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 30, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Two sets of tee lads and two different signs is kind of a w,safe if money, IMO. Sometimes like in # 2, the Blue pad is just 25' back of the Red. Or like on # 6, the two basket positions (atop the poles) are just five feet apart. I love these little rec courses. I believe they play play an important role in the development of disc golf. This course would have been just as fun without the multiple tees.

The course has two concrete tee pads for each hole, DGA baskets with the hard to read red numbers and two heavy duty signs at each hole. The course is a solId recreational level course. It forces you into throwing a range of shots, hyser, anhysers, low tunnel shots, rollers and straight and narrow fairways. Rec players will most likely spend some time searching for their disc in the tight, jungle lined fairways.

Cons:

There are a few cons besides the apparent waste of park's departments funds.

# 10 finishes on the far side of the ballfields leaving you a long walkout at the end of your round.

Some narrow jungle lined fairways.

Possible conflict with other park patrons.

Other Thoughts:

# 10 basket says P. Obviously, they purchased a practice basket and then decided that a 10th basket made more sense than having a warm up basket. I agree.

This is a fun little course for youth, seniors, beginners, etc. It probably won't hold much appeal for more experienced types but I can see it developing a following for the less serious crowd. I'd play this course if I lived close by. But since I don't live close by, it provided me with an easy bag.

Fun when the park is empty 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 22, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

>Beautiful multi use park bordering on natural area at times
>Nice teepads
>Easy navigation with a few glances at map
>Variety of shot shapes demanded

Cons:

>Possibility of SUPER CONGESTION with other park goers and players
>A few incredibly punishing OB situations where hitting cars or people is a little too easy for my liking.

Other Thoughts:

Check it out! just go early/midweek less popular park times and enjoy the sanctuary. Not a destination course but absolutely worth playing a lot if local or once if passing through.
