Pleasantly Surprised 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 26, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good mix of shots
Great place to work on form, upshots, and puts
Nice signage
New concrete tees
Multiple pin placements

Cons:

No very challenging
Could definitely use its landscape a little more
A few holes are a bit open and boring

Other Thoughts:

Definitely worth checking out. I was looking for another park to work into the mix and I found just that.

Haven't Played This One Yet? Get On It!!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 4, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great new course near Wichita, KS. You NEED to play this course. Good, fun holes of all variety. Very nice new signage. Not too terribly long, so nice for more amateur players. Nice cages as well. Three cage locations on most holes.

Cons:

Unfortunately, this course has no concrete tee pads... yet... Hopefully we get concrete pads soon. There is trash on the course so trash cans would be nice. There are only one set of tees.

Other Thoughts:

Be aware that you are in a sports complex and some spring/summer/fall weekends, it can be packed. Other than that, it's fairly empty. If it has rained, be aware that tee pads will be muddy.

promising new course!!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 12, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

For this being a brand new course, it has a lot to offer. They use the space wisely. wrapping around the perimeter of all the other activities. This park has everything! Once they install concrete tee boxes and signs, this will be great!

Cons:

The course is difficult to manage without signage. However, if you download the map from the files tab, you will find your way around. There is not bridge to cross the creek from #7 tee to basket and again on #8 tee to basket and ye again getting back to #9 tee. Tall grass becomes an obstacle on a handful of holes and with the openness of the course, wind will make that tall grass come into play.

Other Thoughts:

Because of the course being so close to other activities, it might not be the best place to take beginners on busy park days. I spoke to staff at the park and it appears signs are coming soon and rumor is concrete tee boxes as well.

Good course with room to grow 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 8, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Several different shot types required, with a mix of long holes and ace runs. The course makes good use of existing structure around the park, and there are a couple of holes with some real character for it being so new. Lots of OB over mow lines, several baseball diamonds, barbed wire fencing, tennis courts etc. Also there is a nice variation between the two pin placements that change the holes quite a bit when they move. When the course is set up in longs...it's has some teeth. The baskets are awesome: brand new and they catch great. Good tee pads and signage, although it did seem like some of the distances were off.

Cons:

Now that they have installed tee pads, signs, and the bridge over the ditch, there is not much bad to say about this course. Some of these holes play very tight along private property, and I don't like losing discs or trespassing. There is a stretch of holes along the ditch that get a little repetitive. The fore mentioned ditch along the back of the course can be a pretty wicked disc thief when they don't mow for a while.

Other Thoughts:

This course will give up some pretty low numbers if the baskets are short and you are throwing well and hitting your putts. There are bogeys out there for some players, but open players shouldn't find very many of them. When the baskets are long, plan on some OB strokes and keep your game on point, because this course can get you. A nice addition to the local course list, and well worth a trip to play if you like trying out new courses.
