Pros:
+Really nice park in small town Nebraska. They have a shelter, porta potty, bike trail, pond, benches, mature trees. It is maintained well and is a pleasant place to be.
+6 nice baskets. All in good shape.
+Great signage. Full color and very informative. The course is easy to follow.
+Nice concrete tees. I did notice a second tee on both 5 and 6 but didn't notice them on other holes. They may have been there but I wasn't looking for them because I didn't think they were supposed to be there.
+They appear to have some kind of league there so hopefully that will help with long term course maintenance and improvements.
+Good variety of hole length. On the shorter side overall but not a pitch and putt for sure. 3 and 6 are solidly longer holes for a city park style course.
+A good amount of trees for a city park course. Always a tree or two at least on every hole.
+Hole 2 was kind of a water hole. Not a real water carry but the chance of losing a disc in there with a really bad throw. Would have been nice to see them go back over the pond for hole 3.
+The little bit of elevation that was there was used to create some fast greens.
Cons:
-Missed chance with the water on hole 3. That could have been a long hole with an early water carry that added to the hole.
-Just 6 holes. It was a fun course so hopefully they at least get alternate pads in there to play 12 unique shots.
-Hole 4 had a wall of a tree hanging over it and no real line. You could try to tomahawk it but that shouldn't be your only line on a hole.
-The bike path comes into play. Hole 2 you throw to a blind basket past the path. Could be dangerous for sure.
Other Thoughts:
+Overall, this course used a small city park pretty well. Great design for what they had to work with.
+A few alternate pads including a longer version on hole 3 would really enhance the course.
+Fun factor was good for me. A few shorter holes that reward you for hitting a good line and a few longer ones too. Sometimes you don't need 9 or 18. A well designed 6 is better than a garbage 18.
