Other Thoughts:
~ Located in a beautiful and sprawling park, this is a short, open and beginner-friendly 9 holer at the Ives Run Campground. Available seasonally when the park is open; layout does not intersect with other park activities
~ Excellent baskets ,intuitive layout. Tees are grass and only defined by flexible plastic posts (see pictures). Paper cards and pencils are sometimes available at the first tee
~ Mostly open, but the layout plays over and around a few gently rolling hills - giving players a few different looks and several baskets with rollaway potential
~ Immaculately mowed grass: short in the fairways and just long enough outside to define the rough
~ Potential Danger: The teeing areas are often inside C1 of the preceding basket, making for genuine hazards to players if anyone behind them is making ace runs. Course designers probably don't understand how easily players can tear up short holes like these. I doubt the course gets much use though - it feels like an "added activity" away from main campgrounds
~ The holes are short, straightforward and very welcoming to beginners. Only one hole gets close to 300' (and it's downhill). Fun quick birdiefest for experienced players
