Pros:
There are baskets in the ground at a middle school, which introduces kids to the sport. There are nice baskets at that; it seems funny to have nice DisCatchers and nothing else going for the course.
Cons:
This "course" is really just a couple baskets in a wide open field. There are literally no obstacles besides the few baseball backstops.
None of the baskets are numbered and there are no tee signs or any kind of marker one where to throw from. Once spring hits, the baseball fields will be used, which makes this course unplayable since two baskets are three feet away from the backstop. When I came and played, I ran into the problem of a group of people crowding a basket and used the basket as a purse/jacket holder. I am not sure how frequently that happens but it could make even more holes unplayable if there are others using the school facilities.
If you play basket-to-basket then you have a couple of super short, wide open shots.
Other Thoughts:
When I first heard of this course, I thought it would be similar to nearby Goodson Middle School. This course lacks the few pros that Goodson has, including numbered baskets and obstacles. There really is no potential with the land that this course sits on. It is a great idea, just really poor execution. I really hope that this course sees use by a couple of people, otherwise you have very nice baskets just rusting away.
Still, if this were in my backyard, it would be a good place to practice certain parts of my game.
