Decent small town course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 20, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

2 sets of Cement Tee pads for each hole
2 pin placements
Good use of the old growth trees in the park making good fairways.

Cons:

The killer kiosk map pictured on this page is totally destroyed :(
Too bad the park is only big enough for 9 holes.
This is a nice small town park, you throw over the outfield of a baseball field and throw into the back of a boys club house that had kids out playing in #9's fairway.

Other Thoughts:

Small town courses are usually not all that great, this one actually surprised me.

This is another P-Katt course and well designed at that.

2 tee boxes, red and white on each hole. some are just shorter looks at the hole, but some are a totally different take. That makes playing the course as 18 from long and shorts interesting.
The layout is basically a counter clockwise around the park, however it is very easy to miss hole 6 and 7 (yea, I missed them) as you will see 8 tee box right after playing 5.

You have two decent signature holes, Hole 4 is an island hole when the park is holding water. Then you have White tee hole 9 that throws down the row of tree's to a basket that looks like it is in the back yard of someones house. (it is a boys club house if I remember correctly)

Would I play here again?

Yes I would, if I am ever in the area, I want a chance to play this course better than the quick round I played. The Park is very pretty and the course is well laid out.

Nice new course nearby. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 9, 2010 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good new course with challenging holes, but basic. Small park with good use of space to put in 9 holes. I will be playing again there very soon.

Cons:

Park is small so other activities interfere and get in the way. As the public get to know what golfers are doing I think this will get better.

Other Thoughts:

Also imporovements to the tee pads would be nice (locations and concrete pads).
