Pros:

+ Scorecards/maps in signbox (No sign though)
+ Clean and well maintained park
+ A fair amount of parking, although if the playground is busy, you might have to park in the beach lot
+ Decent tee signs with all info at long tees
+ Dual tees with different lines of sight
+ This is actually 11 holes and a practice basket right now. Perhaps it's supposed to be 12, but i couldn't find a tee for 12. (No signage on 10, 11, 12(?)
+Nice mix of hole lengths, shot shaping, open/wooded

Cons:

- Sandy tees are getting rutted and/or overgrown. Sand tees are slippery
- Can't see basket 2 from the tee, the basket you see is 9. #2 is about 100' to the right
- Basket 3 is out of the ground, looks like someone just pulled it out, concrete and all.
- After 1 you cross a small bridge to the right and then cross a road. I really dislike this style but I understand that there are reasons why it was done. If they are planning to expand this to 12 holes, the addition of crosswalks would be very much appreciated, even on this quiet street.

Other Thoughts:

For a 3.5: Clean up tees, put basket 3 back in the ground
For a 4.0: Pour concrete tees, replace signage
New signs would be a good idea anyway.
All in all this was an enjoyable course, more so by the addition of 2 surprise holes.

Pros:

great elevation mixed in. Some left handed lines with the common slight hyzer lines and a few S turns. A good mix.

Cons:

bad tee boxes filled with uneven sand and quite small. Baskets could used an upgrade but it will still grab.

Other Thoughts:

fun 9 hole to play if you are in the area. better than most 9 hole courses around there.

Pros:

Lightly wooded

Hole 2-9 are in a horseshoe arrangement.

Cons:

Nothing to indicate location or distance from short tees.

It's a long walk from basket 1 to tee 2, through a boggy area, over a wooden walkway, and across a paved road.

Other Thoughts:

I played two rounds on June 15 after a heavy rain. Holes 1 and 2 were a little marshy.

From tee 2, you can see baskets 2 and 9. Basket 2 is on your right.

Pros:

The first DG course in Long Prairie! Kudos! I'm extremely happy to see it in the ground.
Easy to navigate, short & long tees are visible throughout the course. Plenty of trees to thwart your shots. Grass has grown in quite substantially and has provided better traction in the fairways. Not as dirty/muddy as the first year in-ground.

Cons:

Watch out for rusty barbed wire near basket #6. Its connected to an extremely old wooden fence lying down & hidden in the grass/weeds.
Tee signs need to be re-positioned immediately. They currently sit directly behind each tee box. Place them on the side of the tee box while allowing ample room for the swinging arms of golfers. Simple mistake on installation but it's a simple fix as well.

Other Thoughts:

Wear decent footwear. There are a few spots where the ground can get soggy. Esp. the trail between 1 & 2.
If you're in need of a rest stop while traveling through the area, it's a perfect course to play. Cool off at the public beach on Lake Charlotte. They have added one hole. You can make it a 12 hole course and shoot towards the practice basket (near Hole 1)
