Pros:
I have to start off by saying that this course is not quite complete. It is fully playable and fun but I think that the local club/city will continue to work on it. It is currently the newest and least polished of the three courses. It's 3.0 rating reflects its state as I played it and not its full potential. Will try to update if progress is made.
+18 nice baskets
+18 signs- just hole # on there for now.
+Next tee signs to aid in navigation.
+More elevation than most courses although not as much as the Canyon course on site. Elevation is used more gradually on this course. Not as many holes with massive ups and downs as Canyon.
+Great variety of shots. Overall, this course is longer and more open than the Canyon course. Many longer holes but also some shorter ones as well.
+Some tighter wooded holes but most holes are wooded and open. You play in and out of stands of coniferous trees on this course.
Cons:
-Tee pads are natural and are ok. They are rocky but overall pretty level. If they put down rubber mats, this will improve a lot.
-Signs just have hole # on them. Likely will be updated at some point.
-Baskets are sometimes shared with Pine Cone course. Not a big con for me but needs to be noted.
-A few holes are hard to play without a spotter. I played alone and had to search a few times when my disc went further or faded harder than I could see.
-If you can't throw super far, your arm will get tired. This course required all out drives on most holes for my noodle arm. Sometimes even two all out drives on single holes!
Other Thoughts:
+I enjoyed this course a lot and look forward to coming back to see if it continues to get better.
+Canyons is more fun to me but this course might be more fun to those with big arms that want to let it rip more than Canyons allows. A good contrasting course to play the same day as Canyons. This would be a very fun complex for a tournament. Both courses would suit different types of players and the best all around player should win.
+A donation box is located at Canyons #1 tee box in the shelter thing. I assume that they put most/all of the money right back into this disc golf complex.
