Big course for a small area

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 25, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pro shop on site (if you throw LSD you are good)
Pond in play
Artificial OB in play
Easy to follow

Cons:

holes are very close to each other and there is a crossing fairway

Other Thoughts:

Never has such a small area had such a big course. Located in front of Lone Star Molding, where they make Lone Star Discs, they have installed a 9 hole course that apparently has been changed up a few times already. There were tee pads to no where out there.

To maximize some distance, the road leading into the shop has several tee boxes marked on it. You are mostly throwing back and forth across LSD's front yard. The pond is sneaking and deeper than it looks. (I was warned, but still lost a disc)

Most of the holes are pretty open, but the trees are used to shape your drives on most of the holes. There is a mando on the longest hole to keep you from throwing over the busy road. This makes it the longest hole on the course too.

There were flags marking OB's on a few fairways too.

Hole 2 is a pyramid hole.

Hole 9 has posts around the basket.

Hole 3 is an island hole with water close to the basket (Don't be just short, trust me it's deeper than it looks)

Hole 4 throws over the pond.

Both holes 2 and 4 have long and short tee's that are marked.

My biggest issue other than holes close to each other was the crossing fairway. Hole 9 does throw across hole 2's fairway.

Would I play here again? Actually I enjoyed my round and would love to play another. They do have SEVERAL baskets outside of the pro shop, not sure if they run any mini's or putting leagues. But it would be cool to hang out here.
