- As much elevation change (if not more) than nearby Brookside Park. The temporary 9 hole layout had 3 holes involving a 40 ft high levee. One shot was along the levee, one was an angled downhill shot, one was a straight uphill shot.

- This course is in downtown Indianapolis bordering the campus of IUPUI in a park with little traffic. Crispics uses this park as a cross country course and that is the only use of the park. It needs new life. Great views of the city.

- Variety of shots. Only one hole was open and flat. All of the flat holes had obstacles (trees) to throw around minus hole 2 and all of the open holes had extreme elevation changes. Can't argue with that in downtown Indy.

- Alternate Tees: one pro and one amateur throw pad per hole. Changed every hole and added variety.

- Designed by Dennis Byrne who designed a majority of Indy courses. He has a vision for a future 18 hole (18 basket) course.

- Room to expand: this park is extmely large and could easily fit 18, maybe even 24 holes. More local support is needed. Woods on both side of river could be cleared for a few heavily wooded holes or basket placements cut into the woods. Course would border an IUPUI apartment. Could have a water hazard with Fall Creek.

- Right off the highway. Easy to get to with plenty of nearby places to eat.

Natural tee pads but it is a temp course.

9 holes but vision is for an 18 hole permanent dual tees course.

Needs funding and support from IUPUI students, faculty, and staff.

This course needs more support and funding and it could rival local courses such as Brookside (Indy), The Hills (Carmel), and even Avon. Open shots, wooded shots, elevation change, and possible water hazard.

As a temp course it hit the spot and opened the door for a future permanent course. All it needs is funding and it will wow anybody as permanent course ranging between a 4-5 disc rating on this site.

I would recommending playing this course the next time it is available to the public as a temporary layout. You will not be disappointed.

Hole 1- mostly flat hyzer shot around low hanging tree. Slight dip in elevation.
Hole 2 - flat open shot. Could be aced from either tee.
Hole 3 - flat wooded shot (large mature trees) with trees that obstruct your shot.
Hole 4 - follows the top of the levee which curves to right. Errant shot will put you at the bottom of a 40 ft deep levee.
Hole 5 - Downhill shot across creek that can be aced from either throw pad. Extreme elevation.
Hole 6 - short anhyzer shot around a tree at the bottom of a levee. Follows a heavy treeline
Hole 7 - uphill shot from bottom to top of levee. Don't underestimate height of levee.
Hole 8 - flat Lightly wooded hole along the top of levee where placement is key. Trees block most open shots and threat of rolling down levee is present.
Hole 9 - flat lightly wooded hole where initial trees block any bomb thows. Get around them you are in the clear.

These holes will be renumbered and/or replaced when course becomes permanent. Expect similar holes plus more wooded holes when that happens
