9 Hole Gem in Marble Rock 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Decent Baskets
-Cool rock and bench at every hole
-Nice mix of open / wooded shots
-Decent Tee Signs
-Quiet Park, good upkeep
-Plays mostly around other activities in park

Cons:

-Gravel Tees
-No trash cans seen
-Little elevation (might be a pro for some)

Other Thoughts:

Marble Rock DGC (or River Street Disc Golf on the map sign) is a 9 hole gem of a course in a city park in Marble Rock, IA. A good mixture of open / wooded and long / short made for an enjoyable round. Each tee has a large rock and a bench. Holes 1-3 are open with a few trees, 4-8 play in a wooded section of the park and 9 finishes back open. Baskets were good and the tee signage looked new. The gravel tees were a tad tough to get grip on, but a minor flaw. There were also few trash cans to be seen, but I did not see any trash on the course. While there are other activities in the park, the course plays mostly away from it. There was a very cool fire pit between the #5 and #6 fairways that could come into play. Add some concrete tee boxes and a few trashcans and you would have an even better rating. It was a pleasant surprise to find this gem of a course. Enjoyed my round and would play again if in the area.

Enjoyable small town course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 31, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

You get to let your distance drivers loose, but have tight wooded shots too. Bright post by tee boxes. Easy to follow layout. Nice baskets!! Not busy at all.

Cons:

I had no idea where the appropriate place to park was. Lots and lots of leaves!! Needs hole info on posts(distance, par)

Other Thoughts:

I enjoy the course for the variety offered in a small area. I will definitely come back to throw here often.
