Great beginner/intermediate course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 6, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good baskets, nice course map, ample parking, restrooms available, beautiful park, par is well explained on front sign, lots of large beautiful trees, well manicured, footage accurate on tee signs, good use of elevation, fun course to play

Cons:

Could use next tee signs in between holes 3&4, 11&12, 17&18, Hole 11 tee sign is easy to miss your first time as it is on a telephone pole, back 9 didn't have numbers on the baskets, no tee pads, Hole 6 and Hole 12 throw over horse shoe pits, many holes are in potentially high traffic areas, could be some safety concerns if the park was crowded, Hole 6 tee pad is in the circle of Hole 5 basket, hole 10 tee pad is in circle of 9 basket, Hole 11 tee pad is in circle of hole 10 Basket, good mix of holes on the back 9, front 9 is mostly putter shots for a more experienced player

Other Thoughts:

I was only one here and the course flowed well, navigation was easy despite my listed cons. If a tournament was ran here I would be concerned with flow as people will have to wait for next card to tee to get away from the baskets. A course worth stopping to play in a beautiful park. I would call Holes 11 & 14 par 4's and the rest par 3's. Be nice if the tee signs had mini-maps on them that showed basket location. It would also be great if there was a practice basket installed by the course map.

Nice little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 7, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Easy navigation.
Obstacles that make play a bit more challenging.
Hilly terrain makes for some interesting shots.
Well marked [baskets and tee markers are very nice]

Cons:

No concrete tees. [Not a big deal for me]
On a busy day, you would have a good chance of whacking someone with a disc. At one point I was shooting through a pavilion. Luckily it was pretty slow today.

Other Thoughts:

It is really cool that Monett put this in! I took a few minutes on my lunch break to play through. It is a pretty short 9 hole course, and I was able to play through it in about ~30 minutes. Some of the holes that have a higher par could probably be lowered. I am relatively new to the sport, and I managed to stay under par on most of the holes. Made me feel pretty good, but like I said, I think some of them are rated harder than they actually are. I did have to scramble down a hill through the woods when I biffed a drive, but that is obviously my fault. :) All in all, a good course. I will be playing it again.
