It's done 2+ years

Pros:

None

Cons:

Everything from the baskets to the park

Other Thoughts:

Seriously, this is no longer a course and I will be asking Tim to retire it.

Yes, there are 4 baskets still in the ground, they are in horrible shape. 2 baskets were laying on the ground and 3 were missing.

Not to mention there is no map nor anything marking tee's.

Then we can get into the park, it is a small park. Not even big enough for my little arm to really get a full drive on. Maybe you can work on some upshots and putting? But the baskets are horrible for catching discs.

Anyways, going to load in the pictures I took of the baskets and then send a message that this course should be retired.

Would I play here again? Never, head over to Alligator Lake. Nice little 9 hole course in a very pretty park. It's only 15 min away.

At least Leesville has a course. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 26, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's a mid range and putter course. Hole 2 is the only hole that requires a long distance driver. Not many hazards to loose discs.

Cons:

Baskets are welded and home made, designed for lids (a.k.a. big catch discs), Smaller golf discs often fall through the bottom. And in fact the entire course could be played with Ultimate or freestyle discs. The course has fallen in in to disrepair. Both baskets 6 and 8 are no longer there. Only three tee markers remain for hole #'s 3, 5 and 7. Baskets 1 and 4 have suffered major vandalism damage 1 is missing half of the chains. So only 7 baskets and 3 tees and 2 of the 7 remaining baskets are damaged. . No course map available. down graded my review from ½ star to 0 stars.

Other Thoughts:

This course was made in 2007 by a high school senior as his Eagle scout project. Nice effort., but the scout moved off to college and lost interest in disc golf. I communicated with him a few years ago and he told me that he and his dad made the baskets. I wish Leesville Chamber of Commerce or parks and rec dept. would put in real baskets and contact the disc golf communities in Lake Charles, Alexandria, or Shreveport for input on course re-design. I think that several of us from the Imperial Calcasieu Disc Golf Club would be willing to help make improvements.

At least its a course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 18, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is the best coarse in Leesville bar none!!!
It has baskets, and even some tee type areas(if you have a good imagination.)to throw from.

Cons:

This is the only coarse in Leesville. The baskets don't catch discs, they don't have enough chains. But to be fair i think someone did this for a scout project and hand made them. so for that they are pretty good.
not too much challenge from any of the holes. And the 6th hole is missing completely

Other Thoughts:

This course could be nice, it just needs a little tlc and it would be a great beginners coarse.

small town course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 25, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

the grounds of the park are really well maintained. who ever made the baskets did a good job and i would say they are comparable to DISCacher.
its disc golf in Leesville that by its self is really nice.

Cons:

there are no tees so you just have to guess where to throw the next disc to. i cant find the sixth hole? so i just made it a trick shot into the tennis court. I would like it to be a 18 hole but, come on its in Leesville!

Other Thoughts:

I am super happy to have found this course, affter moving here last month i have spent many weekends diving to Shreveport ant lake Charles to play i am glad i can do at least some playing here Vernon Perish. ( e-mail me if you want to play sometime)
