Pros:
This is my rereview as of 4/4/20..The concrete Tpads( 9 x 5 ) are in for 1-11 and it is now a very fun, hilly 18 hole course. The Patriot baskets catch great and replace the old wok style ones. A nice mix of 280-490 ft holes 1-11 with lakes on 1,7, and 18, and techy holes in the woods 12-17. If you like Sioux passage in Florissant, then you'll enjoy Marquette. Downhill, uphill, and a few level fairways are a nice mix; no two holes seem alike. Hole 6 gives you the choice of going hard dogleg right or through the narrow tree tunnel. 18s' pin is 8 ft from the lake, so throw a disc you don't care about. You can see the pin from every Tpad,( at least in early April ) so no scouting for the basket is necessary. Picnic table on hole 2 overlooking the lake .
Cons:
Only 1 Tpad and 1 pin position per hole, and no signage with distance to pin; you'll hafta eyeball it, but not a real detriment. The course seemed to be designed by a Lefty ; 70% of the holes play to the right of the pad.
Other Thoughts:
This a gem of a DG course! Great park setting with no other activities interfering with your game, plenty of elevation on most holes, with a good mix of long and short holes, easy navigation, and good variety . Cart friendly until you get to 12. I will drive the 50 miles from St. Louis again to play here.
