This is a fairly well tended 9 hole in the main city park in Connell. Not overly difficult but the designers used what they had to introduce some challenge. Tees are marked with a round pavingstone that has a blue board next to it in the grass. Fairly logical layout that zigzags across the park.
Local kids were helpful in finding tee for 2( by gazebo next to skate park) and this was a pleasant short stop on our way down Highway 395.

Since tees are a board in the grass a couple were hard to find as they were mostly grown over. The paving stone made these easier to locate. Hole 6 throws along trees by road and we didn't find tee until after round(1/2 way between pin 5 and skate park along road). No maps or signs didn't help navigation. Fairly short with most holes being very open.

It is easy to get to from 395 and worth a quick stop if not in a rush. I get by that way fairly often and will occasionally stop here in future, but not every time.

The town of Connell sits between I-90 and the Tri-cities surrounded by fields of wheat, potatoes and hay. The little community park has a water park and a skate board park. The park is lush green (obviously well watered) green with a few trees around the perimeter. The first tee is right behind the building. The tees are always difficult to find. Apparently for mowing purposes, they are blue boards layed in flush with the ground. The baskets are new DGA ones. Except for # 6, the course plays back and forth across the park with all the holes in the range of 200 to 300 feet. Most of the baskets had a little sticker which said next tee and an arrow pointing. They helped me find most of the tee boards. There is a small, maybe 15 high ridge on the south side of the park giving you a little elevation to throw off. Other than that, the park is flat. There are a few scattered trees. I like hole # 4 best which was just a basic 280 footer off the slightly elevated hill to a basket semi-protected by a large tree in front. # 6 and # 7 play back and forth across the fields near some ballfields although I don't think these fields get any regular use. # 9 finishes fairly far off in the corner of the park.

I never found the tee board for previous reviewer Sillybiz's Signature Hole # 6 so Iwasn't able to grasp the full impact of that hole. The winds were howling and definitely affected my game.

This course is just like the farm girl woman in Connell. You know that girl who would be a "5" in Las Angeles or Miami............well she's a "9" in Connell. Well this course would be a 1.0 in Charlotte or Portland or Austin or somewhere. But here in Connell, I'd come and play this course and give it a 1.5.

I'd probably play this course backwards and forwards. I'd play it in the wind. I'd play safari golf. On hot days, I'd cool off in the water park after playing. Then I'd chill with my farm girl. Remember, It's the only game in town.

Connell has a new disc golf course in Pioneer Park right in town. The course starts on the other side of the bathrooms and finding the first tee was a little on the harder side. There are brand new baskets (DGA I think) at the course and the tee pads are all natural green grass and it looks like they water it often. Most of the course is open with very little trees for most holes and hole distances range from 150 to over 300 feet in length. I would have to say the signature hole is number six; it's a low ceiling shot with the basket tucked under the tree line that runs on the outer perimeter of the course. There are two routes you can take, a more traditional anhyzer over the field or the less than obvious huge hyzer that plays over a tiny road that doesn't get much travel but you have to make it back into the tree line; a backhand roller is also an option. Navigation is fairly simple and a small piece of paper was taped on to the bottom of the baskets that had an arrow to the next tee pad.

The tee area is found by locating little blue, flat wooden planks that were put into the ground but are nearly impossible to see from anywhere past teen feet. I think a little stick with a pink ribbon tied around it to show where the pads were would go along way. Because of the difficulty to find the blue planks we never found the tee pad for hole number two even after looking all over where the arrow was pointing us. Not a whole lot of obstacles and most of the holes are pretty bland besides hole six and birdies are to be had and bogeys aren't going to happen much with so much open space.

This is a pretty cool park and houses much of the activities of the town I suspect as this is a very small town. They have a large swimming pool, skate park and baseball fields as well as one of the largest and coolest slides I've ever seen that even adults would want to go on! There were bathrooms right next to the pool area. I'm not sure how the parks people found about disc golf in this area as the nearest course is quite a drive but they a decent job bringing a small course to the locals who can learn and enjoy disc golf.
