-Tee pads, Signs, Nice baskets - Tee pads a a little short, but nice smooth concrete. Signs provide accurate distances. Baskets are Mach IIs so less chains, still catch decent unless you're blasting putts.

-Starting topography - Ground on the first few holes roll a little bit so you get some fun downhill and uphill shots.

-Beginner friendly - Overall its park-style golf with some medium range distance. Great place for beginners and casual golfers to play stress free.

-Garbage cans and restrooms on site

-Multi-use Park - the first few holes are in an area of the park where there are picnic pavilions and playground equipment. Usually I've only seen a dog walker here and there but something to be mindful of.

- Vanilla finishing holes - Holes 6-9 are pretty much baskets in a field. Only real challenge is distance control, not super interesting for more experienced disc golfers

- Wind - The park is right on Lake Ontario so there always seems to be a least a breeze.

Like the title says, overall this is a great course to warm up and practice. It's a nice 9 hole course that isn't a pitch n' putt. It gets you throwing real shots that you will encounter at some of the other 18/27 hole courses in the surrounding area. I like to come here before playing a course like Bond Lake or Joseph Davis. The first few holes are great for getting used to throwing uphill and downhill shots at Bond Lake and the Last few holes are great for getting your distance control down for Joseph Davis. I definitely feel like I play better at both if I stop here first.

A nine-hole course that gives you the feel of an 18 hole course. The course plays long for a nine holer. No pitch and putt here. There is some excellent use of elevation, has some amazing views of Lake Ontario. Concrete tee pads and decent signage. Solid DGA baskets.

The first five are laid out well and take advantage of scenery and terrain, but the last four holes feel like they are simply throw and go. No real challenge other than trying to throw far. Also finding hole 2 from the basket of one is a bit tricky. It's about a 2 minute walk (which isn't bad once you know where to head.) Also hole five goes across a service road. Not a huge risk of hitting a car or person, but it's never a good idea to have a hole cross pavement used by people & cars.

The scenery and the first five holes make it worthy of a quick 30 minute round or so. This park is pretty spacious and if were laid out with a lot of attention to detail, it could have been a decent 18 hole course. But as they say in sales - it is what it is. Play it before you head out to Shore Winds and you'll be glad you did.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course, even though I wasn't a huge fan of the last few holes. I wish this park had more space to put in 9 more holes to compliment the existing 9. The designer does a great job of using the land available to make a reasonably challenging course that an experienced player could take a beginner and still have fun.
Hole 1 plays through a slightly wooded fairway that will take an accurate shot to get close.
Hole 2 is a blind shot over a small hill.
Hole 3 plays along the lake, a stiff breeze and some guardian trees can make this easy looking hole a bit more difficult that it should be.
Hole 4 plays across a field and up a slight hill to a green protected by a low ceiling of trees.
Hole 5 is another slightly up hill shot through a row of large trees.
Hole 6 is a pretty much a straight ahead hole in a field.
Hole 7 has thick vegetation on the right side of the fairway, but other than that it is another straight ahead hole.
Hole 8 is the longest hole on the course and has two large guardian trees 3/4's of the way up the fairway.
Hole 9 ends the course with the shortest hole on the course that is a dogleg right around thick vegetation.

All in all, this is a fun little course that would be a great warm up for Joseph Davis, Blarney, or even Wilson.

It's a pretty basic course but I found it to still be fun. There's lots of open space and the grounds are well kept. The holes are strategically placed around the few trees and hills in the park so the course stays interesting.

Perhaps a little heavy on the open fields, so it won't provide the variety some players are looking for.

- Wide open and forgiving course, but the baskets are well placed by the trees to keep it interesting on the approaches.
- No real danger of losing a disc.
- Nice use of elevation on several holes, and better variety than one would usually expect from a nine hole course in a small park.
- Well-maintained grounds and mowed lawns.
- Concrete tee pads.
- Excellent layout within the park; every hole has its own space and there isn't much risk of running into picnic and playground areas, or overlapping other fairways.
- The park is easy to find, and free. The course starts and ends right at the parking area.
- Definitely the most beginner-friendly course I've ever played, but more experienced players can still challenge themselves going after birdies.
- Very close to several other courses (Joe Davis State Park and Tuscarora-Wilson), so it's pretty easy to bag a quick round if you're making a day of it.
- On a clear day you can see Toronto from hole 3.

- Only one set of tees.
- Finding holes 2 and 7 can be a bit tricky, but not too bad. Still, a map wouldn't hurt.
- A bit out of the way if you're coming from Buffalo, but not too far from Niagara Falls and Lewiston.

Because it's only nine holes and not especially challenging, I really can't justify giving it a 3 1/2 or higher, but this is a solid 3+. The designers took a small park and really made the most of what the landscape has to offer. Nine judiciously designed holes here are much preferable to trying to cram more in at the expense of variety and space (such as Lincoln Park in Tonawanda). Hole 2 requires driving over a small hill to a basket guarded by trees and on a slight slope. Hole 5 is a bit hilly as well, and a line of trees running across the fairway makes for an interesting approach. Overall, the course isn't really long or challenging enough to warrant a special trip, but when judged on its own terms, it deserve a lot of credit. This course does exactly what it sets out to do: it is an inviting and approachable local course that makes excellent and interesting use of the limited space it has, and offers more variety in nine holes than some courses can muster in 12 or even 18. It's worth a quick stress-free round if you happen to be in the area, and if I lived closer I would certainly play it more often.

Overall great course, tee pads are beautiful, yardage on tee signs seem accurate, layout was nice, park was beautiful, course was easy to navigate on first time through. Holes are very birdie-able, but need to have good drives.

Getting to hole 2 from one could be marked with arrow to navigate easier. No real complaints.

Totally worth going to, playing 2 times around here is better than 18 at Wilson if you only have time for a round.

Probably the best WNY 9 hole course. Good use of on site elevation on first half of the course to make the holes both interesting and challenging. Brand new concrete tee pads.

Holes 6-8 are located in a flat and open area of the park so they are not as interesting as the others but the trees that are there were used well in the hole design.

Possibly add a mando on hole 6 and make edge brush on 7 ob to create a little more of a challenge. Definitely worth playing this course especially with a nice view of the lake on a couple holes.
