Pros:
Perfectly manicured grounds - all grass was cut very nicely uniform and short, very lush area
Very nice DGA Mach III's, with the deeper cages, all looked brand new and caught fine
Signage with hole map and distance
Very nice variation in elevation, and distances. While you won't be chucking any anny flex bombs, you can still rip out the driver on hole one, and then it's a mix between putter tosses and mid throws off the tee.
Nice use of trees - baskets were tucked between trees, through thick tree lines, around corners, and in the case of hole 4 (signature hole), among tall, towering trees spaced neatly to make a gorgeous green, at the bottom of a steep downslope
Cons:
Hole 2 - hole 2, if I could give individual hole reviews, would get a zero out of five. Yes a ZERO - and I do not say that lightly. The hole is a blatant safety hazard that feels like mini golf disc golf, due to the "obstacles" - you tee off from the soccer fields (more on that in a moment), shoot over a brick wall, over a dumpster over and around the PARKING LOT, and finish right, around one of the school buildings. First, it's not cool to have a missed shot go into the friggin' dumpster (didn't happen to me, but can easily see this occuring), and then there's the fact that you can't play if there's people parked, and if you do you risk cranking there cars with discs..... plus buildings and random brick walls don't make good obstacles.... then of course it is a super blind shot and who knows who could get hit.
Holes 1 and 2 play across and along soccer fields - if you come to the course on a practice day or something, you're SOL.
The teeing areas are just grass, assumingly to be played from right by the sign. The signs for every hole are all within 10 feet of the last basket, which means waiting on groups in front of you for longer, and the obvious safety hazard
Difficult to find, even with directions provided on here, it can be quite confusing.
Other Thoughts:
I found a lot of variety and fun factor here for just being basically a pitch and putt. I LOVED hole 4, just so much fun tossing a putter down the steep slope, and hoping to sneak through the beautiful trees on the green. Open shots and some with some windows to hit and low ceilings mix things up a bit. Plus the nice baskets and perfect grounds add to the experience.
It's truly a bummer that hole 2 is soooooo bad, and that basic safety features have been overlooked, otherwise I think this course would have got a 3 from me (for a niner). BUT even with the bad safety issues, I just couldn't give it a 1 or 1.5. The course is super pretty and a fun place to be to run some aces, throw some unique holes, and warm up for the nearby Deer Lakes. I would reccomend people try this course out, if not for anything more than just to bag it. Just beware of what I have mentioned.
