Pros:
+ I love the baskets. They are very appealing and high quality. I think red was a good choice for these baskets.
+ The practice area is maintained. That is, the grass is mowed, trash is picked up, and the area is generally very clean.
+ There's room to throw as long as you want and practice some lines. There are also soccer fields nearby in case you need even more space.
Cons:
- I'm giving this a 1.0 because I'm rating it on the same scale I would 9 & 18 hole courses. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to give a 3 hole course anything higher than a 1.5.
Other Thoughts:
All in all, I think it's wonderful that Middleton installed a few of these practice areas throughout the city. I'm not entirely sure of the goal of these areas, but it's definitely a cost-effective way to increase visibility of the sport and provide baskets to players who don't want to pay to play the higher end courses in Madison. It would also be nice if these areas stay in during the off-season where courses like Elver are pulled.
