Pros:
Good Baskets
Good Signs
Good mix of holes
Pretty Setting
Quiet despite being in the heart of the base
Cons:
A bit forced into the area available
Holes play through other amenities but these are very little used.
Lacking in two shot holes
Would get a bit logjammed in a tournament with shared tees and tee's baskets close to one another on a few holes.
Other Thoughts:
Dennis who is very new to Disc Golf has done a great job here with his first design.
The course is on an incredibly quiet Military Base, it plays around a disused Baseball Diamond and alongside the athletics track.
I'd normally mark a course down heavily for throwing across the athletics track/baseball diamond/alongside roads but there are so few people on base that the risk here is incredibly small and after initial reservations it seems fine.
Holes are fun testing a range of shots, I threw high hyzers, stall shots, flat to fades, forehands, full speed drivers, turnover over putters and more working my way around the course and had a fun time doing it. there is a great mix of open and technical shots
For the space allocated it's a really fun course and well worth checking out if you can get signed on.
As you're on an active US military base make sure you're not relieving yourself in the bushes at 5pm. Trust me. You'll look a bit foolish.
