Pros:

- good quality baskets
- good quality concrete tee pads
- basic tee signs
- good variety of distances, ranging from 200 to 400 feet
- great use of the elevation of property

Cons:

- navigation is fairly simple but it could definitely be improved in spots
- lots of cactus
- the terrain is very limited with obstacles, basically no trees

Other Thoughts:

The course is great for what it is. Fairly long and open with lots of uphill and downhill.

Great New Course. Beware of Snakes drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good mix of distances and uses the terrain to make some fun and challenging holes.

Cons:

Most of the course plays in and around tall grass with lots of biting insects. Would recommend long pants and shirt. Got into the weeds on 18 and came upon a pissed off rattle snake. Lucky to get my dog out of there without getting bit and didn\'t finish the hole. Pretty easy to lose discs so keep an eye out.

Up and coming course

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 9, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun course with a mix of hole lengths.
Good use of land despite the limited amount of trees and water.
Course meanders around a park without going too close for errant shots.
Great placement of #14 pin.
Gives Castle Rock an alternative from Matney Park.
Veteran baskets are high quality.

Cons:

Terrain is limited and there are lots of cactus.
Tee boxes and signs would greatly improve navigation.
A couple blind shots, but when played again will be more fun.

Other Thoughts:

This course is so much better than the pictures express.
It will be even better once the tee pads and signs are installed!
